Biometric authentication in a mobile app means using your unique body features, like your fingerprint or face, to prove it's really you. Instead of typing a password, you simply:
- Scan: The app uses your phone's camera or another sensor/input method to scan your fingerprint or face.
- Match: It compares that scan to a stored version of your data.
- Access: If it matches, you're in!
Essentially, it's a quick and secure way to log in using "you" as your password.
After you login the first time, you may receive a prompt to "Enable Biometrics." If you wish to enable biometric authentication, select Enable Now.
You can enable or disable biometric authentication at any time in the Preferences section of the SchoolFront Mobile app.
To get to Preferences:
1. Go to the Menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
2. Select Account.
3. Select Preferences.
4. Scroll down to Enable Biometrics.
